Recycle Your Christmas Lights!

Every Christmas season we drag out those old Christmas lights and begin decorating our homes and trees to celebrate the holiday season. And every year it seems, we all find that some of our lights don't work! The vast majority of consumers figure the only thing to do with those old lights is to throw them away in the garbage. There is a better way! By donating those old Christmas lights to us, we will recycle them keeping the e-waste (glass, plastic, and copper) out of the area landfills. Your donated Christmas lights will help us provide employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities whom enjoy recycling Christmas lights!

Where to Recycle Christmas Lights In Knox County:

From November 21st through January 31st

Outside of the dates listed above you can always recycle your Christmas lights at Sunshine Industries at 3000 N. Central Street, Knoxville, TN 37917 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
until 4 p.m.

Sunshine Industries launched our e-cycling program for two reasons. First to provide new employment opportunities for the clients that we serve, and second to help our area become
more green via the process of electronic recycling. When we put electronic items into the ground, we and future generations face the risk of contaminated soil and water.

We believe that every person can make a difference in sustaining a clean environment for future generations. We appreciate your efforts in helping us with our cause. If you would like to make a monetary donation, we are a 503c non profit agency and your donation is tax deductible.

You can learn more about The ARC Knox County and Sunshine Industries by visiting our main website at www.sunshinekcarc.com.
